Happy CRNA Week

CRNA Week Special Edition –

In honor of CRNA Week we asked our CRNA providers why they chose to go into such a challenging profession. There is no doubt these CRNAs love what they do! We truly appreciate the opportunity to work with such extraordinary healthcare providers. Thank you for putting up with the long hours, restless nights and stressful work conditions to keep our communities far and wide healthy!

Jesse – CRNA

“There are many reasons why I love being a CRNA. I enjoy providing comfort and reassurance to my patients, and giving them the best anesthesia experience possible.  Every day I encounter patients at their most vulnerable time.  In a brief interaction, it’s my job to comfort them and assure them that I will keep them safe and pain free; that I will do everything in my power to make sure they have a good experience.  Every day offers a new challenge, and I strive to meet those challenges.  Next, I like the flexibility that comes with profession.

As a CRNA, you can mold your own career path, and do exactly as you wish to do.  You can work in a large medical center and take care of high risk, critical patients, or you can work in an ASC setting and care for a less stressful patient population.  You can work as much as you want or as little as you want while still making a respectable living.  As a CRNA, it is impossible to get bored.

The last reason I love being a CRNA is because I am tasked with constant critical thinking and learning.  Preventing issues or recognizing them early and intervening can be the difference between life and death for a patient.  I am constantly learning, growing, mastering new techniques, and evolving my practice so that I can be a quality, autonomous provider.  Being a CRNA is one of the most rewarding careers out there, but also one of the most difficult, and I wouldn’t choose any other profession.  I LOVE being a CRNA.”

Anna – CRNA

“I have been a full-time locum for 2 years and haven’t looked back! While it may come with its share of challenges, the benefits far outweigh them. I control my schedule, am compensated more than fairly and get to experience new settings, locations and practices. I live for the outdoors and traveling which is what I am doing anytime I’m not at work. Locum gives me that flexibility, it’s freeing to pursue my dreams and chase the surf without begging for and borrowing days off.

While I have previously worked with other companies, Recruiting Resources is head-and-shoulders above the rest! They work hard, take their and my position(s) seriously and advocate for me.  I recommend them without reservation! For anyone looking into locum, my advice would be to take the leap, and know your worth!”

“I love being a rural anesthesia provider! I take care of patients throughout the peri-operative period and that is very rewarding. Having a close-knit network fo providers to collaborate with and being autonomous in the OR suite provides a balance that is satisfying. I work with a great team of nurses, doctors and techs that allow me to do what I do best!”

“What I love about my job – The flexibility of our field. You can work as much or as little as you want, incorporating flexible hours and a quality lifestyle. You can make a little money or a a lot of money. You can take care of very sick, high-risk patients or you can choose a less stressful patient care mix.”

Tanner – CRNA

“The enjoyment of the anesthesia profession stems from the countless opportunities available and the daily adjustments to elevate each anesthetic to ensure a positive experience for each patient.”
